Bento 001 and Bento 002

Bento comm needs some lunch! I've been making bentos for the last few years, though I got out of the habit of photographing them a while ago. I think I'll get back into the habit. :3

Posting two here, newest first.

Bento 002



Clockwise from the top: baby carrots, cocktail tomatoes, penguin with ranch dressing inside, tiny orange bell pepper, meat lasagna.

Proof that you don't really need fancy boxes to do bento-- this one is a simple Sterilite box picked up from Target.

Bento001



Left (Lid): Chocolate pocky. Yum, pocky.

Center (Top Tier): Roast beef, blueberry mini muffin, carrots, 1/2 of a peach spiced up with a kappa pick.

Right (Bottom Tier): Potato salad with a line of cocktail tomatoes down the middle.



And there it is all packed up!

You can get the bento stuff I used in these from Fit, which is based in Houston, TX. It does not ship internationally, but they will ship to anywhere in the US and Puerto Rico.

I'm getting hungry now! And the sea fish box is adorable! (I also use "normal" food boxes and not "fancy" ones... when I manage to make a bentô, that is.)

The store I linked has 'em for like 5 bucks, in a little kit with the belt and chopsticks.

I use about half and half, depending on what's for lunch.

The only problem: I'm in Europe.
Well, one day I'll manage to get one of these cuties. All boxes I've seen so far in store have been like 30€+.

Bento&Co might be able to hook you up. They're based in Japan and ship internationally. They have a lot of higher-end boxes, and the average price looks to be around 20€ for them. (Tariff might push that up, but the high-end stuff is usually worth the investment.)
